Introducing The Sentinels

The Sentinels are a top-tier esports organization based in Los Angeles that is committed to creating championship-caliber teams to compete in the hottest new video games. Building competitive teams in esports and bringing as many ardent fans into their network is their aim.

Founding of the Valorant Roster: Originally a League of Legends squad, Phoenix1 participated in the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) when it was first founded. Phoenix1 changed its name to Sentinels in June 2018. At the moment, the company fields teams in Halo, Apex Legends, and Valorant.

Early Success: At the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Stage 2 Masters Grand Final in Reykjavík, Iceland, Sentinels defeated Fnatic 3-0 to win the inaugural global Valorant tournament and create history. Sentinels’ victory has positioned North America atop the Valorant esports scene. 

The Sentinels’ Members

Tyson Ngo aka TenZ: Vietnamese Canadian professional Valorant player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is currently with the Sentinels. In October 2019, he joined Cloud9 as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player to start his esports career. He switched to Valorant in April 2020 and began playing for Cloud9. 

Zachary Patrone aka Zekken: Currently playing for the Sentinels is 18-year-old Zachary “Zekken” Patrone, a professional VALORANT player from the United States. Zekken is regarded as one of the best young players in the VALORANT league who made his Wichita Wolves debut.

Gustavo Rossi aka Sacy: Brazilian professional VALORANT esports player Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi. Sacy switched to VALORANT after competing in League of Legends. October 2022 marked his Sentinels’ initiation.

Bryan Luna aka pANcada: Bryan “pANcada” Luna is a VALORANT player in the esports scene who is presently competing for Sentinels and B4 eSports.

Mohamed Amine Ouarid aka Johnqt: Moroccan-born Mohamed Amine “Johnqt” Ouarid is a VALORANT esports athlete who has been a member of the Sentinels since September 2023. He is the Sentinels’ in-game leader at the moment.
